Do you generally need a recovery drink (I like some chocolate soy milk or a chocolate banana protein shake) after all workouts, or only following the longer, more grueling sessions? I.E. if I go for a 1 hour bike ride in Z1, should I have a recovery drink right after? For full disclosure, I do currently have a recovery drink after every workout and am reconsidering since I’d like to drop a few pounds ![]()
Particularly if you want to lose weight you are better off eating around your workouts and cutting calories later in the day (like bedtime snacks, etc).
