I find this stuff so cool. Using genetics they’re getting out of these old bones to say something about ancient human population dynamics. Got to figure this is going to be an exploding area of research as more DNA is recovered from ancient bones.
Neat to see how this has basically resolved the question of the relationship of modern Humans to Neandertals which was debated for decades until the genetic techniques were used.
