Recommended Bike Trainers?

Well, winter is coming so I thought I would start researching bike trainers in anticipation of a long New England winter. Any winners here, hands down? I am not looking to break the bank but don’t want a piece of crap. I am looking to spend $200-$300, want something quiet, and I would like it to feel as realistic as possible. I don’t need any fancy barmounted controls or computer or anything…

Thanks in advance for your advice.

This was just discussed, and I’m to lazy to look for the link. In that range you got 2 choices, and I can’t tell which is really better.

Kurt Kinetic ($275), or 1up usa($299) 1upusa.com sells both at what look like good if not best prices around.

Hopefully someone or several will pipe in with the adv. and disadv. of both other than the 1up is made in the USA.

Kurt Kinetic.

If you want one…I have an extra from a Spinervals video shoot I’d sell you for $200 plus shipping in the lower 48. 90 minutes of use, large fly wheel, skewer, mat, video, tools…the works.

Hello~ I am interested in that trainer. Please email me proposal details to jeromebhughes@yahoo.com.

Thanks!

Looks like Im to late on that one.

So anybody compared these two models?

FYI - there’s a sale on Kinetic trainers on Spinervals.com website.

I’ve had the Kurt Kinetic fluid trainer for almost 5 years. LOVE IT!!! And the Spinervals videos ROCK!!!

1up usa! I love it!
