Recommendation for gym-free general strength/core/stability program?

Anyone got a recommendation for a general strength/core/stability program that can be done at home or at a local park without too much in the way of expensive equipment?

After taking 3 weeks off of training, completely, to move and start a new job, I’m thinking about spending the rest of the year focusing on strength/core/stability, running, and then throwing in some biking and swimming whenever I have time or feel like it.

I’m not looking to bench and squat weights and obsess over numbers and guzzle whey protein 5 times a day while staring at myself in the mirror. I’m more interested in actually building overall body strength that will come in use in triathlon. I’m looking for functional strength, not just strengthening single muscles on machines at a gym. Perhaps something that includes cords and medicine balls? I don’t know much about strength work, though, so throw any ideas you have at me.

Thanks, all!

I just learned some new moves for my workout, thanks!

This is a really tough set. I used to have it bookmarked but lost it. Thanks for finding it.

I used to have the same coach as Justin. Great guy and he had some seriously nice abs

Purchased! I’ll probably end up combining that with the Beginner Triathlete core workouts (which I’ve used for a few years now with great success).

I used to route my runs around parks or playgrounds where you could do pullups and other exercsies. A great combination is to do pullups, followed by pushups, followed by small arm circles with your arms straight out shoulder height, to the front and/or sides. When you are smoked from that do flutter kicks, planks, and lunges, squats. Done! Full body workout. A solid 15 minutes should be fine. Mix it up a lot and work in pyramid sets or any combination of reps and sets. Be creative. Case in point. Be amazed!
