I swim at the Baxter YMCA in Ft. Mill, SC, but I used to swim at the MAC in Charlotte so either location would be good.
are you looking for a coach for workouts or for private instruction?
How about Dave Marsh at MAC? The most successful NCAA swimming coach of all time(12 NCAA titles at Auburn) and 5 time All-American is coaching their elite program. Nice guy, and I’m pretty sure he knows his stuff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Marsh
If that doesn’t work out I believe MAC still has a really good Masters program, where they utilize the same coaching staff they use for their other programs. I grew up in Charlotte swimming at MAC and can vouch for their age group program as certainly being one of the best in region.
I’ll second Dave Marsh, and the whole MAC coaching staff - I would give them a call and see who is available, if you’re looking for private help. I swam for years with MAC, and their coaches are all top-notch and have produced many fast swimmers over the years. The Masters program is pretty good as well, if that’s the option you end up going with. I think the above poster is right about the Masters program using some of the same coaches that the age group program does.
Here’s the website for the team, you should be able to find some contact info for the Latin office.

Great, thanks to all posters! I did see the MAC had a masters team that praticed early mornings. I should have specified that I was looking for some one on one instruction, but I am thinking about joining a masters program. That pool is cold, I swam there in 08, but it’s good practice!
