im in search of a rear mounted bottle carrier that also can store some must have items. I was really stoked about the bontrager race lite one, but not available yet. the profile design rm 2 isnt bad, but no place to store my gear. If any of you folks have any ideas or other products that incorporates some storage, please help me.
I have a trek 1600 that im using with a bontrager inform saddle. Carbon fiber seatpost, so I dont know about having a carrier mounted on that.
i just bought a profile design regular two bottle holder, it is cheep and works well. i also bought a specialized saddle bag that fits right below the saddle and above the bottle holder. it works great case the bag is water proof and it all together costed me under 40 bucks.
I put all my stuff in a screw lid waterbottle. It will easily fit a spare tube, micropump/CO2, tire lever, patch kit, keys and ID. It’s waterproof and easy to move between bikes. Some of the rear carriers have 3 slots, and this takes one of them.
If any of you folks have any ideas or other products that incorporates some storage, please help me.
