Real IM Climbing Data?

Does anyone have GPS or other data sources that accuratley (+/- 5%) recorded the number of feet of total climbing on the bike legs for IMLP, IMMOO, and IMCdA?

Short of that, does anyone have a very educated guess or indication from some course?

Thanks,

Bob

I have 2759 ascent and 2719 descent for one loop. I didn’t ride the course to get this, but I sent my Suunto T6 with a friend who was riding the course and she recorded it for me. Hope that helps!

Oops… that is for IMCDA.

GPS is notoriously inaccurate for altitude gained/lost.

FWIW, my Polar 625x says that the LP bike course is ~5800’ of ascent for the whole course.
(this is the avg of having ridden it now 3x)

6000 feet or so seems about right.

GPS has its flaws, but then again so too does using barometric pressure. I don’t know that there is a perfect means.

Look up the spedific routes using the Trail Finder at MotionBased.com…looks for routes specifically ridden with an Edge, as it uses barometric altimeter instead of relying on GPS.

I went to Motionbased and they had anywhere from 7200 feet of climbing to over 10,000 for the IMLP bike and anywhere from 900 to 5000 for the run…Boy am I confused now.
