got a rattling brake lever. profile design quick stop on a cobra wing. Any suggestions?
tighten the brake cable so it slightly preloads the lever.
A similar problem is present on vision base bar and brake levers, at least on P2C’s, where a rivet on the lever is a little loose. A solution that a few have posted about was taking an old clincher, slicing off a small section, sliding it up over the lever, and then folding it back on itself. It serves as both a rattle-stopper and a sort of return spring. I’m waiting to wear out another clincher before I can try it out.

I had the same problem with a loose rivet (Dia Comps on a Profile Carbon X bar). A small dab of wetsuit glue (Shoo Goo is the same stuff) on the outside of the rivet fixed the issue.
on those 188s, i used to take a big pair of channel locks and squeeze that rivet to tighten it up a bit. that stopped the rattling.
