I hate to seem like such a fan, but this deserves its own thread.
I had not heard Rappstar was racing IMC. It makes sense I guess with the 101 championship being cancelled. What a debut. 5th place, less than 2 minutes off the podium with an 8:51 for a race that he just jumped into at the last minute. I am totally impressed by the even split run. What a day. Congrats.

I think BADASS is pretty much the only word to describe this performance.
It is really impressive how he has continued to get better and better. It has been great to watch his process on ST, and he has been an invaluable source of info along the way. Another example of why I love ST.
Don’t worry - few people did. I got a phone call late on Thursady from Jordan enquiring about whether or not he could get into the race. I made a few phone calls and all was good to go. Unfortunately he arrived after the press conference and other pre-race functions. However, despite that he did indeed have a very impressive debut at the Ironman distance. Had it not been for an unfortunate spill on the bike, the strong and impressive result may have been even better.
Great day for Team Timex as they had three men in the top ten!!
Even more impressive since he raced an ITU Olympic tri race last weekend and spent the day chasing the lead pack (never lost a second) and backed his solo TT effort with a 35 min 10K. Fleck, what was the crash…yeah, I was surprised (although not completely) that Jonnyo got off the bike before him.
Is he taking his Kona slot, or saving the legs for Clearwater…or is he doing both?

jordan crashed in the first mile of the ride, is bottle got stock in the front wheel… he got up and got the focus back…
but jordan definitly rode a very conservative ride, on tired legs… and hold on amazingly on the run… 8:51… that is freaking good, and that is only his first ironman.
he sure as awsome potential at this distance…!!!
was fun to see you out there jordan!!! you were definitly on a good mood all day long!!!
He’s not just a RAPPSTAR, he is a ROCKSTAR!!! A ROCKSUPERSTAR!!!
Totally hit it outta the park in his first IM. Amazing.
Not like it was outta nowhere, what with that 2nd at the last 101. But to literally throw yer hat into the ring 3 days before an IM (the week after a hard ITU effort no less!) and then perform that well is just awesome.
I guess 5th OA at IMC and a Kona slot is a pretty decent ‘Plan B’ to doing Woodlands.
And congrats on the engagement!!! You and Paulo will be very happy together - hahaha!!!
Wow - looks like perfect execution: solid swim, even bike and run splits, etc. Not at all easy to do in your 5th IM, let alone first! Forget his crazy speed - we all knew that!
Incredible to see the progression of Jordan and jonnyo. Really Cool!
