I loved most of that series, the trailer looks like it could be one of the good ones. Cant wait…
I love the first one, one of those rewatchables that you can pick up anytime (seems like AMC has it in their regular rotation).

Edited: The world is shooting bullets at him and can’t hit him. He shoots one bullet and kills 50 guys. The realism is just beyond.

I was hoping for at least echoes of the slightly subversive plot of First Blood, which was about treatment of Vietnam war vets by the American public, and also police abuse.
But it looks like this time the villains are: Mexicans.
I could have written a much better plot: an Iraq war vet with PTSD is falsely implicated in a school mass shooting by a lying anti-gun politician. The vet goes on the run. Rambo assists the vet, escaping abusive police, while also uncovering the false accusation.

You are probably right. But, I’ll admit it, I’ll watch the movie. I don’t go to movies anymore. I haven’t been to a theater in at least 12-15 years. But, I rent/buy a ton of movies and I will keep renting/buying their movies because I love mindless action movies while on the treadmill.

I like the first 50 Rambo movies and the 65 or so Rocky movies. This is just like Taken. Every sharp shooter in the world is shooting at him and he’s not hit once. He’s blindfolded standing on his head and spinning and seems to hit the pin of the grenade that blows up the tower.

That’s what is freaking out the Actor’s Guild. CGI is inching closer and closer to reality. It may not be that far off before we don’t need live actors anymore.

Interesting story line. All these guys were being held in a nursing home and John has to break out of his and into theirs to free them so they can all go to the Dairy Queen. “All I wanted was a damn ice cream cone”.

This came up in the Arnold getting sucker drop-kicked thread–that Arnold was so big now because he’s still juicing. Arnold was pretty open about his use after his bodybuilding career. He claimed, and I kind of believe, that he quit juicing after his bodybuilding career because he wasn’t competing at the highest level any more. And he was still huge. There has to be a huge residual benefit from the years juicing. He was just plain bigger–bone structure and all.
Anyway, I don’t know if they’re still using something and I don’t really care. Maybe some less than anabolic steroids and something like HGH? I know little about that stuff.
He was convicted of HGH possession in Australia, and has openly talked about its use (while trying downplay it’s benefits).
