Ralph's weather watch

Anyone checked out the forecast? I know it’s still over a week out, but I had to check. Currently calling for a 50% chance of rain. Please just don’t let it be windy again.

I rode in the rain this morning and I think I’ve offically got to change my screen name to “candypants”. I am riding so damn timidly it’s starting to really get to me.

Not sure if anyone else finds this the same…but crashing in the rain seems to hurt less than when it’s dry. And for the most part everyone rides slower (sorry…timidly) in the rain. For the aforementioned reason I prefer riding fast in the rain…but then I’ve crashed before and lived so it’s a good way for me to make up for a slow run I know I’m going to have.

Know your enemy and know yourself and you should not fear the outcome of a hundred battles

About that wind:

I’ve ridden up and down the North SD county coast twice this week, just a few miles south of the Ralph’s bike course, and it’s been pretty windy (about as windy as in last year’s race) both times – but with the wind blowing in different directions both times! So who knows…

According to www.weather.com for Sat Apr 3rd.

Oceanside, Ca: Showers.

Oceanside, NY: Scattered Showers.

Oceanside, Oregon: Mostly Sunny

I say we move this party to Oregon!

Chance of rain went to 0%.

But how long is it going to stay there? It did the same thing last year.

I’m not worrying about the weather 'til Wednesday night…then I’ll bring everything anyways.

I don’t remember it to be windy last year.
