Ralph's get together

If anyone is interested, I think we (desert dude, jaylew, armored avenger, sac, sergio) are going to have the grill fired up after Ralph’s around 2pm. We are staying real close to the right hand turn off N. Pacific to Breakwater so it is within walking distance from the finish. Bring something to slap on the grill and your favorite post race beverage. Some people will be leaving to go back to the awards ceremony but the people whose awards stop after the finisher’s medal (myself included) will hang around and wait for them to come back.

Has anyone decided when/where we are going to try to get together before the race? Maybe a Thursday get together as well as a Friday get together? I can give everyone directions then or you can PM me for directions. I look forward to meeting everyone and be safe travelling to the race. Any updates on water temperature??

It sounded like most people can meet on Friday, so we discussed 10am and 3pm on Friday, meeting each time at the Gatorade tent. I’ll try to make both, and of course your grilling siesta.

Is there a race that weekend? I will do the fun run. If we drink enough beforehand, we can have our own underwear race! All from the Hottie Thread are invited! Only planning on having a good time afterwards and dragging you and Sergio to an Irish Pub on Thursday!

I am racing and will be there for one of the Friday gatherings. Although it may not be nice this weekend.

I think i might drop on by… ill take those directions just in case i got the legs to get on down there afterwards… will be staying at the days inn so i’ll be close… thanks for the offer and good luck to all on Saturday

count me in. Not racing though. I’ll be working at a run aid station for a couple of hours and live about 3 miles from the transition area, just off the far end of the run course. Let me know if you need me to bring anything specific like a gas grill or ice chests or something.

surfboards. Mike I also want to talk w/ you about USAT SW region but hopefully I won’t need to hang out at the aid station to do it. Did I mention surfboards and maybe a lesson?
