Just caught a story in the paper about some serious sewage leakage in the Raleigh area. Hopefully it is not in the area we’ll be swimming in!
I live in Raleigh, can you post a link?

it does feed into jordan lake but…
with around 2.5 months until the race…I don’t think it will be a problem
.
That river does not flow into Jordan Lake.

I hope they don’t cancel the swim. That would be my worst nightmare come true.
That river does flow into Jordan Lake (it’s a nice whitewater run when it rains… although I may avoid it for a little while now). I would think if it was going to jeopardize the water quality in the lake badly enough to affect swimming that the local media would be all over it. But I’ve heard nothing like that. I too think we’re far enough out that it’s not going to be a problem.
Or on the other hand maybe the sewage will be just enough to warm the water up that .001 degree so it’s not wetsuit legal : )

Or maybe WTC will just bring the same magic thermometer they used last year.
