Raleigh roadrage saga cont

Looks like there might be some nationwide TV coverage of this…the following is copied from NC state trooper Kevin Bray who is a cyclist and member of Asheville Bicycle Racing Team…

"In response to my efforts, along with those of several others, to cook WDCG, I got a call last week from a guy who said he was a reporter with the Los Angeles Times. He had seen my e-mail to Clear Channel Communications and wanted to interview me for a story he wanted to run about WDCG and the other stations advocating road rage against cyclists.

Well, I gave him his interview and, sure enough, it hit the LA Times today. Go to http://www.latimes.com/features/outdoors/la-os-bike7oct07,1,7316055.story?coll=la-headlines-outdoors.

When the page comes up it will ask you to log in or become a “member”.

(I omitted Kevins password to get this, but its free to join)

If you want to find it the hard way, just go to www.latimes.com and click on the “Outdoors” button on the left side of the screen. The title of the article is “Mikes vs. Bikes”.

This article resulted in a phone call from “Good Morning America” who wants to do a story on it. However, he tells me, they are not certain they can run the story without a transcript of the show. He is working on that now and is supposed to call me tomorrow with a decision.

Keep your fingers crossed. We may get some national coverage on this issue… "

I’m not a US citizen and don’t live in the USA but would be interested to learn from anyone on this forum what US law says about these radio stations that are basically inciting their listeners to commit assault with a deadly weapon. Freedom of speech is all very well but there are already enough brain dead idiots operating motor vehicles all over the world without some tw*t on the radio telling them to deliberately target cyclists.
