Raise the seat for tri shorts?

I have read this a couple times now on the forum. Do you guys raise your seat a couple mm to compensate for the smaller pad on the tri shorts. I’ve never done this. Should I be?

ONLY if you know how to make flat coke.

Oh, my wife does all the cooking. I’ll ask her for the recipe.

I cannot imagine how that small a difference could have an impact on your performance. If you are a bit anal about it and are bothered by the sensation of being a few mm closer to the pedals then you’ll want to do it for peace of mind.
I switch bikes so often that I am used to a variation of probably at least a whole centimeter from bike to bike.

No, I just compensate with thinner socks
.

My tri bike has a cushyier seat than my training bike.
that takes care of it.

Genius.

this is not a dumb question, especially if you ride your saddle on the higher side. I have different cycling shorts that make my saddle height feel different.

Not all can feel the difference in a mm or 2. Too bad you are one, just like me. Sometimes it can feel like you need to move your saddle a cm. In the end, it is usually just a a small tap on the saddle.

As a side note, I will sometimes pour a bit of water on my saddle in order to provide some grip and also deflate the shorts a bit.
