For those who have raced this one or silverman, better to find a hotel in Vegas? Henderson? Tips?
I’d do Vegas (or the official hotel)… it doesn’t take too long to get there, and you’ll just have more fun afterwards. I did Henderson last time and regretted it. The nearest hotel is a dump.
Tips… Wear a neoprene cap on the swim, its v cold. Pace yourself on the bike as it’s pretty hilly. Make sure your shoes have good tread, as the runs a little rough underfoot in places. Bring a torch as you’ll be setting up in the dark. Stay the extra night in town afterwards and enjoy.
I’m actually doing the Half next month there. It’s not the same course as Silverman. It shares some of the course though (I think).

My tips were Rage related. A decent amount of the course is the same. It’s a fun race, although challenging. I think I took 5.45, when I’d do 4.45 on a flat course.
There was a fair bit of moaning about the run last year on here.
Which area of Vegas? (never been there)
