Michael and Andreas Raelert seem to have been flying under the radar for a while. They both used to be pretty dominant (Andreas with some strong showings in Kona and Michael used to be a podium regular in a lot of 70.3 races) but haven’t seen as much of them the past few years. Are they on their way back to the top?
Both racing IM Hamburg this morning. Excited to see how they do.
X2 Michael when fit and not injured was a gun at the 70.3 distance.
Andreas was better at the longer stuff- although I fear age may have caught up to both of them.
Sad to see the pair of them not make the finish line at Hamburg.
Would have loved to have seen Andreas finally make the top step at Kona but looks he’ll always be known as the “nearly-man”.
Michael might have a couple of years left but he’s never been able to crack the long stuff.
Great pair of guys who have been incredible on their “on” days.
