We don’t have a “Halal Certification Authority”, BTW. The Feds approve a bunch of organisations (Wiki says 22) to issue Halal certificates for export, including HCA. Given the amount of food we export to majority muslim countries, including the world’s most populous muslim nation that is our closest neighbour, that’s a necessary thing.
