The fiery Spainiard likes his chicken hot and well done, especially for the final course before dessert in Paris. Contador joins culinary diva Rachel Ray to discuss his favorite way to do up chicken when barbecuing in the mountains Spanish style:
Alberto Contador’s Chicken Aubisque:
Start with one chicken, plucked, preferably very lean.
Attack six times. Add a dash of Hincapie at the end.
The chicken should be yellow in color before cooking and white with red dots when it’s done. If the chicken is overcooked it may turn orange and blue the next day.
Although the chef appears to have used unsavory spices before.
Contador supposedly was on the list of the Fuentes clients, but because he agreed to be a principal witness for “his federation” (I’m assuming Spanish cycling federation) he was crossed off the list. http://tour.ard.de/tdf/aktuell/kw30/contador_20070724.htm
In the meantime though, the proposed approach to remove chicken from the menu appears to run into some snafus, in particular the reason for removing it has some issues.
Apparently two of the missed tests were not recorded properly (missed test on April 6th was dated as May 6th; missed test on June 21st was not recorded at all) and therefore Rasmussen only has TWO official missed tests. Therefore he has NOT broken the limit of 3 doping tests counting as one doping violation. http://tour.ard.de/tdf/aktuell/kw30/rasmussen_pk_20070724.htm
Very difficult to know. Very often chicken in that farm are not available where and when they are supposed to be when the authorities come to the farm for testing protocols.
