Alright, I hope to have this as a regular thread on here, but here it goes for this one:
**how about everyone keep the same format and just update each # - that way others don’t have to search around for your rankings…
Ironman Candada - Penticton, with their massive volunteer army hosts the 25th-northern-most and first-ever-norte-american IM.
Chicago Triathlon: the biggest tri, one of the 4 lifetime fitness series stops. (I will be posting video)
Ironman Louisville: humm, kind of a guess - this is the newest IM so there are records to set, some race issues (modified swim course already), etc
Ironman Korea: ok I am lost on this one - so any input from you eastern euro/asians that know the athletes better. They just + the prize$$ which is great for pros!
IM Canada
- Gordon Byrn - more tire-pulls/insightful-writing than all of ST this whole yr - he has been preparing for years, he will win this.
- Kieran Doe
- Serge Meyer
– - Lisa Bentley: limited running this yr- but she is a force to reckon with and she is hungry
- Heather Fuhr
- Linda Gallo
Chicago Triathlon
- Emma Snowsill: how can u bet against her? Vanessa just barely beat her at lifetime
- Mirinda Cafrae: prev. shortcourser can def run her heart out + this bike will seem short to her now.
- Becky Lavelle: with only one 34:xx 10ker around (emma), she can build on the bike and hold on.
1)Craig Walton: mech at lifetime stopped him short. He is itching to win.
2)Greg Bennett: sub5s he ran at ltf were crazy! maybe him & waldo make it interesting in last 200m?
**he is not registered to race (on website) so unless he is hurt I’m sure he’ll race, if not, I’d insert Matt Reed.
3)David Thompson:you heard it here 1st=he will podium + will have fastest bike split (53 min 40k?).
Ironman Kentucky
- Petr Vabrousek
- Chris Mcdonlad
- Chris Hauth
- Heather Gollnick
- Carole Sharpless
- Mariska Kramer-postma ( I don’t even know who she is!)
Ironman Korea: this is what ironmanlive says: “The men’s field will be headed by Raynard Tissnik, Byung Park-Hoon, Scott Green, Chang-Jae Yeo and Olaf Sabatschus, with Rebecca Preston, Wendy Ingraham, Yasuko Mayzaki and Claire Murray in the women’s.”
