See, all those silly times you tried to balance protein and caloric intake with energy spent… we were just doing it all wrong.
*"An 83-year-old Indian holy man who says he has spent seven decades without food or water has astounded a team of military doctors who studied him during a two-week observation period… “If Jani does not derive energy from food and water, he must be doing that from energy sources around him, sunlight being one,” said Shah. “As medical practitioners we cannot shut our eyes to possibilities, to a source of energy other than calories.” *
This guy has gone 70 years without food or water and we are going to have to rethink 1000’s of years of observed biology and physics, or… this guy is some kind of fraud.
There was a similar dude who took James Randi’s JREF milliion dollar challenge. He was a ‘breatharian’ and claimed he didn’t need water or food. They put him up in a hotel and waited in a car across the street until dark, when he promptly snuck out the side door and went straight to the closest Burger King. When he returned to the hotel, burgers in hand, they were waiting for him. Upon being busted he claimed he didn’t intend to actually eat the burgers.
These kinds of frauds annoy me. At least come up with a more believable scam.

If I remember right, after that JREF said they wouldn’t be accepting breatharian challenges anymore. The only way to really test one of these guys would be to damn near kill him.
