Sorry guys, they are taking forever to upload. Saw the first few competitors today in Indianapolis. Will try to see Kenny and Tinker tomorrow morning.
Got to work on 4th place traditional rider David Haase’s bike: some tires were on backwards so we removed them and flipped them around, washed his bike (it had been raining) washed the cassette (they didn’t have a brush so I showed them my shop rag trick), aired up some tires, etc. It was a blast.
These guys DO NOT LOOK GOOD! wow, they are tired and hurting. Boyer has the sickest stable of bikes i’ve ever seen. Baloh’s crew chief is awesome and runs a tight ship. Haase has some great people with him.

Thanks Gary, I went and registered at the site but I can’t create my own album. I think you have to put one photo at a time into an individual riders photos.
These few will do. If anyone wants all the pics PM me your email and i’ll give you an invitation to my snapfish.
I seemed to have got up on the wrong side of the bed, however shouldn’t we make sure we know how to post pics before starting a thread with the idea of showing pics. Thanks to those who came to the rescue of OP. I know its really cool to start a thread everyone wants to look at, but c’mon.
If you see Team Red Helmets - give them a shout out for me!.. My wife’s coach (Melinda) is one of the riders and a couple of the crew are friends of mine… as well as one of the other ladies who’s riding…
Got to hand it to a team that consist of 3 women over 60 and one over 40 years of age!!
I went RAAM hunting yesterday. Orginally I was bummed b/c friend’s team “should” have been coming through St. Louis on Fri eve while I was at HHH, but a few problems have them set back. Drove up to the Mississippi River CP (never did find it) and drove backwards to Marthasville.
Stopped and chatted with 5-6. They asked not to publish “info” (evidently lots of spying) but everybody is in a world of hurt and getting by. (i.e. 4 person teams only riding with 2-3, Tandem bikes ridden solo, etc). It was interesting to see how often team’s jockey positions. I printed out the Jeff City report so I could pick teams one at a time…not a good strategy (lots of movement). I had problems following the map (backwards) for 100 mile, I can’t imagine having to navigate for a rider through some of the see-saw little towns.
Many of the road in Missouri were twisty, well travelled 2 lane roads. I imagine that get pretty scary when cars pass…even with the “blocking” vehicle. One team had reggae music blarring out of the PA for the rider…I thought that was pretty cool (very rural area).
Finally saw Kenny…he looked like a champ and surely thinks I’m a freak. We had a little party for him at the stop light. More pix later.
