Wanted to use the R2C shifters. Has anyone had any experience with with either the SRAM or Zipp style. Which ones get the better reviews? Thanks
SRAM and ZIPP are the same company, fwiw.
Other than the differences in the shape of the shift levers, there’s likely not much other difference.
I guess it would come down to which shape felt better in your hand.
(also - SRAM is only useable w/ SRAM derailleurs, whereas I don’t know if ZIPP is ShimaNO and/or Campy-compatible or not)
I put R2Cs on my new bike and I quite like them, although given that this is my first tri-bike I have nothing to compare them to.

Um, no. I have SRAM R2C shifters working even better now that I swapped out the SRAM Red derailleur for a Shimano Dura Ace derailleur.
I’ve been wondering if this would work. Just curious, are you using 7800 or 7900? Shouldn’t make a difference, but I have to ask. (also - SRAM is only useable w/ SRAM derailleurs, whereas I don’t know if ZIPP is ShimaNO and/or Campy-compatible or not)

I have really liked these for the most part. I had the front D one break and Zipp replaced. My rear D works pretty well but every now and then it doesn’t catch. I’m not sure what the problem is? But when they are working they are so much better than the old style. Even with the hassle I would loathe to downgrade…
Are the R2Cs more of a hassle to shift down several gears at once?
No you can get through roughly half the gears with each shift.
I have the Zipps, they can dump a ton of gears if you want- they are quite clever.
