Quote of the day at IMoo

I was driving a couple guys that dnf’d down John Nolan Drive back to the Terrace. At the time there was no one on the bike course, but lots of spectators. A bunch of them were pointing to the truck and clapping, I’m assuming out of respect for the effort of the guys I was hauling in.

The older guy in the passanger seat says, “God I’d like to flip them all off, but I know they mean well.”

Everyone in the truck got a chuckle out of it which was good because it was a pretty somber trip up until then.

I had a guy from insideoutsports tell me “I’m sorry it had to end like this”. I told him it sounded like he was breaking up with me;}

this aussie or kiwi (some wanker type accent) said;

“This really IS a long way”

That was at about mile 12 of the run.
I only thought “No shit Sherlock”

ahem, I’m sorry, but exactly what are you saying about the way we talk?

;;.

is all.
If some non-accented person had said it it wouldn’t have been nearly as amusing to me.

No offense meant.

…and none taken, me old mate.

onya.

Now THAT’S the quote of the day…
