hi folks!
a friend of mine was recently given an older road bike and I’m trying to do some research on it.
I’ll give you the information I have, which isn’t much and maybe you can help me out.
the bike has a one inch steer tube/quill stem.
it’s purple and silver in color (the frame has a two color paint job)
it has brifters (i think thats what they call them, shifters in the brake levers)
it appears to be older but is very light, leaving me to believe it was a higher end bike at the time of purchase.
I’m curious as to the age and aproximate cost when the bike was new.
I’ve been riding bikes for 20 some years but have never ventured into road bikes…
any and all help you can give me is greatly appreciated.
