This just popped into my email. Yes it’s the manufacturer doing the tests, but a lot of it is comparisons between their own rim and disc bikes.

It can potentially stretch out the fabric in arms and shoulders so that they become loose and have more wrinkles or possibly become ‘flappy.’ Both which would make it less aero

ill definitely buy that logic.
but bringing the elbows together was huge. Please note: most people do not have the flexibility for this and will significantly reduce their power due to difficulty breathing by bringing their elbows completely together.
Is this generally true? I have my elbows nearly touching without any apparent need to be “flexible.” I also don’t find that it noticeably impairs breathing.
Am I just somehow lucky, or does this article exaggerate the difficulty?
I’m 6’2†and 185 pounds. My broad shoulders would never allow my elbows to be even 4 inches apart. I have my Tririg alpha X arm cups max width apart. I’m super comfy that way. So yes, for some having close elbows is not possible or a good idea.
My shoulders got tired when I tried to go really narrow with my elbows. Maybe I could’ve adapted if I gave it time. I don’t remember having any issues with breathing though
please tell me you’re kidding…

not at all. ive never had any sort of issue with my tri suit not fitting well after i swim in it completely up over my shoulders under my wet suit.

and it’s obvious you’re pompous and get off on being condescend. i had a valid question, sorry we all are not professional athletes or industry insiders.
fair enough, point taken.

Most of us can not afford to buy a new race kit every third race or so. Understand the point of wrinkles and aero.

I guess that explains why I’ve seen pros tuck their suits in their swim skin
Sorry, What is MOAR?
High hands - isn’t than individual as well?
Thanks in advance
Eric,
I’m having a problem with getting a good head tuck and shrug when I run the reach I like to. Now when I shorten it up 3 or 4 cm I’m able to really get my head out of the wind. I was under the impression the extra reach usually allow for a more natural shrug

Similar build, race weight 10lbs lower. My elbows almost touch. Everyone has different constraints 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸

You prove a valid point. Everyone is different and one can’t fit everyone the same way. I’m 6’4" and more reach is bad for me. In fact 1 cm cost me about 10 watts. I’m pretty compact, I’m also able to get under .20 CdA on my track pursuit set up.
