I’m going up to the high sierra music festival over the 4th of July weekend and want to get in a few morning rides before the music starts. I know Downiville is only 45 minutes away and it’s MTB mecca practically but I’d like to ride more locally, perhaps near Bucks lake or something. Anyone ever done any road biking in the area? Is it safe or are the roads just too skinny for safe riding. Any MTB trails I should hit?
