Quick question from a somewhat mechanically impaired ST-er. I picked up a Vision aero base bar to replace the stock bar on my P2K. After installing the new bar I went to install my existing levers into the bar ends, but it appears that the Vision bar has a smaller diameter bar end. The expander bolt from my stock levers doesn’t seem to fit into the Vision bar end.
Can anyone tell me if Vision bar ends are proprietary and require that I purchase VT levers? Or am I missing something here?
Make sure the expander bolt is loosened, then try. It may take the gentle persuasion of a big hammer. I have managed to fit Tektro and Cane Creek brake levers into a Vision base bar, but it is a tight fit.
The carbon vision brake ends say not to use expander type brakes. Are yours carbon?
you may need to pick up some brakes that clamp onto the outside (like the vision brake levers)

do not think they are proprietary. If i recall properly Cervelo used to stock there bikes with that base bare but not with the VT levers…they used some other junk instead…so dont think you should have to get the VT levers.
The levers you have WILL fit. I have the same setup. Just remove the sleeve on the brake lever and it’ll slip into the VT base bar. It’ll work just fine without it. I’ve been running without the sleeve for about 5 years without any problems.
