Can a ultegra cassette be put on a 105 wheel? What tools are needed for this?
Yes.
to install it, all you need are a cassette lockring tool, a large spanner or socket wrench, and a bit of grease. To remove the cassette, you’ll also need a chain whip.

yes, not a problem if ultegra cassette is 8 or 9 speed and 105 hub is 8 or 9 speed (either one will work with either one, as long as your derailleur can handle it).
req. tools: chain wip, lockring tool, big old adjustable wrench to hold the lockring tool (a bench vise can work here also), and quick-release skewer to stabilize the whole assembly while applying force to release tight lockring.
