Question for running shoe gurus

Due to an oddly jointed hip, my left foot rides on the inside when I run.
It’s not overpronation, strictly speaking- I have normal arches and a neutral gait and my feet don’t roll excessively.
But my left foot *lands *on the inside of the heel and moves fairly evenly from there.
It’s giving me a nice case of ITB syndrome.

Would a motion-control shoe stabilize this problem?

And if so, I would need left side only. Besides wearing two different shoes, do I have any options?

Ah, if you are landing fully in rearfoot pronation and want to run, then I think a custom orthotic is more suited to help than 2 different shoes …

x2 on the orthotic
.

You’ll have to forgive my ignorance, but where do I get something like that?
(I live in your town, I think, so any specific direction would be helpful.)

Well aren’t you lucky

I’ll PM you some info - but I’m easily found just asking your primary care physician, local running store or local tri clubs or phone book
