I know that one of the announcers at Louisville (I believe the secondary one) will be Jerry McNeil…who is an absolutely awesome race announcer.
i think tom Z was at canada last year and was doing a awsome job like always. I do hope that our, Steve king(best annoncer in the WORLD!!!) will be there also, he is amazing!!!
Mike Riley has not been the annoucer for IM Canada before. I would expect him to be in Louisville.
I thought Mike was the announcer one year and everyone was pissed that Steve King wasnt there. Steve was back the next year.

Who does Mike Reilly work for? If he works for nas it seems unlikely that he would be in KY correct?
I believe Mike is hired by the individual race director/owner. In the case of Kona and Louisville that would be WTC. In the case of IMLP, IMMOO, etc those cases he would be hired by NAS. I know he does some of the international races (outside NA).

Yep he is very good. I was actually surprised to hear him call my name at Gulf Coast one year. I thought he was only involved in the Mid West Events series. Great announcer and very entertaining. I would still give the edge to Mike though. Calling a 2-6 hour race is a bit different than the entire IM day. It takes a heck of a person to keep the spectators interested from well before 7:00 am to midnight and beyond. Mike does a great job with it though.
Mike and I will be in Canada announcing the race. Steve King will be doing the race banquets. I enjoyed announcing the race last year and would not miss the 25th Ironman Canada! Will be a great show!!!

At our local races we refer to him as Jerry “Wikipedia” McNeil. No kidding if you have done anything in the world of tri he will remember it and announce it as you come across the line.
