Question for Coggan and the power people

On several posts recently people have discussed differences in wattage between their road and tri bike (i.e. can so and so produce the same power in his tri/tt positition). For those who have a higher FTP on their road bike versus tri bike due to positioning does that have any implication for tracking CTL/ATL and the like? If you have a known difference in FTP between bikes/positions should you change your FTP in WKO+ depending on which bike you are on to get more accurate data.

I know a watt is a watt is a watt but if I do a FTP test on my road bike I might get a number that is about 10-15 watts higher than what I might generate on my tri bike despite being much faster on the tri bike (sacrafice some power for aero). Rappstar said that he sees no difference in power output between his road and tri bike but that doesn’t seem to be the norm just based on some of the recent posts. I guess what I am asking is whether positioning also effects your FTP or is your FTP positionally dependent?

my FTPs are pretty much the same, but i notice a slightly higher heart rate on the TT bike when riding at moderate pace. the higher heart rate doesn’t come from higher lactate values though, they correspond with the watts
