Hey everyone…I’d like to head out for a ride, with weather this fantastic it’d be a sin not to…but have been here for 2 weeks, so am clueless with direction. Where can I go and head out into the country side? I live near the intersection of High House and Maynard. And by all means, if anyone wants to join, let’s go!

Bikes will be out in force over the weekend all through the area but a good place to start looking for people to ride with is Jordan Lake, not a far drive or ride from you. Since I don’t know how far you’re looking to go I’ll just tell you to try looking on mapmyride.com and search from Cary or Jordan lake. You’ll be able to find plenty of various routes and distances. Enjoy your ride!

i just went out for a big loop around jordan lake today and met a cool dude en route who buys and sells undervalued stuff - he had a pretty trick bike - a ti frame and some spiffy new carbon forks. anyways, he said there is a good ride on sunday at 10 at chain reaction in apex.

I am pretty new to the area as well. I actually live in Raleigh, inside the beltline, so I have been looking around. Cycling Spoken Here right at High House and Maynard have a group ride on Sunday and they told me that new people are welcome and they don’t mind if you are on a tri bike. They go for 90 min to 2 hrs.
Currently displaced Apex resident here…I agree with everyone on heading out to anywhere around Jordan Lake. I miss the Cary/Apex area so much…great cycling and lots of tri folks. Have fun!
