Anyone racing? I just had my hard week (185 biking, 45’mag training, 25 miles run, 3700 swim), which is a lot for my schedule and a HUGE jump in my normal weekly routine. I’ve been riding the area just outside Innsbrook that is not gated and familar with the area. If you want to see the elevation profile I mapped the run and bike course under USATF.com route finder (it is under Wright City, Missouri).
Also as a side note I found out on the race application I have to race in the 40-44 age group when my birthday isn’t until the fall. It just doesn’t sit well with me knowing I am now officially in the “Masters” class. Anyone know where I can get a “MasterBlaster” t-shirt? MasterBlaster was a duo from Mad Max in the Thunderdome.
I’ll be there watching you race, old man.
I’m too cheap to pay for those UltraMax races. Lake St. Louis is my splurge for this year.
You racing Rec Plex next weekend? I’m psyched. First race of the season for me. We’ll see if all of the off-season work pays off.
Steve
Skipping Rec-Plex due to it is 7 days before the Quartermax and I am also working a 12 hour shift on that Saturday and Sunday so I won’t get a chance to even watch (need a short workout in before work). I did the John Howard Biathlon a couple of weeks ago and then scooted off to work for the long weekend shift which made for a really long day. I will be back at Alligator Creek in August, how about you? Check out USATF site and check on Marthasville. Barro, this guy named Frank from Columbia Bike Club I know, and myself did a 116 mile ride recently around there (It should be on MotionBased under wcdavis-1451 for the route). The next two weeks I’m pretty focused on the race but afterwards I am going to try to get a Sunday ride together for either Calhoun County (ride the Golden Eagle over) or Augusta (both from St. Peters/O’fallon, with maybe a Marthasville ride (starting at Brommelsiek park-54 mile ride with around 3700 feet of climbing) somewhere in there.
Nice pictures of the bike. I was fooled by the softcore title (didn’t even look at the author first) and was thinking about the old Lori Bowden Triathlete cover. Good luck on Rec-Plex and hopefully this great weather will hold out until next weekend.
