QR Lucero or Caliente?

Are these the same bike? The specs look identical except the Caliente is 2 grams lighter…

QR Lucero and Caliente and Seduza are the same basic frame but with different finishes. Weight differences like that will most likely be posible like that.

But the Lucero is so pretty . . . Can you tell which one I picked up lately

+1 Lucero!!!

Cool, thanks for the post. I may very well have to pick one up!

Cool disc! A Swedish tri buddy of mine recently moved back to Goutenberg (sp?) after living in the US for over 10 years. If you are around there and see a guy on QR TiPhoon say hi to Jan. He tells me QR are not very common there.

Lucero if you want to waste a lot money. Caliente if you want to waste a bit of money. Seduza if you do anything that could be described as “research”.

Or Kilo if your comfortable enough in your manhood to resist the carbon hype.

Neither one…you can get the Seduza for hundreds less than either one and it is the same frame. All3 Sports in Atl. is the number one retailer for QR in the US. I bought a Seduza there and I luv it. I cruise easily at 25mph and have gotten up to 30 too. It will move. Anyway, I believe the lucero and caliente has a nicer paint job. However, I was interested in saving money. I got my Seduza for 2200.00 I think that all3 is sold out of their Seduza’s…which meant they went faster than the other two. Check the internet though. You can still get them for the discounted price. And…I saw one place that was selling the smaller size for 2000.00 flat. Good luck.

Cant wait to get my Lucero next year…got some real trick bits for it!!

While I am partial to the Lucero:

I have to admit that if money is a concern, you’re getting pretty well the same bike with the Seduzza and there will be no difference in your time from T1 to T2.

Very well stated. I couldn’t agree with you more. “Tildenm” should go for the Seduza if he is considering any of the 3 (Seduza, CAliente, and Lucero). The Seduza is the same frame with a slightly different carbon weave which in no way alters the performance of the bike. IMO it’s the best valued carbon tri bike on the market right now. Last I saw on Bikesport Michigan’s website, they were selling Seduza’s for $1999. Welcome to Bikesport!

As an inherently cheap triathlete when it came time for me to go carbon earlier this year I researched the heck out of the decision. All roads kept leading me back to the Seduza as the best bang for the buck. I’ve had it since September and absolutely love it.

FWIW I think the $1999 sales price your seeing out there right now for the '06 models are for Small and XSmall frames. I was slightly bummed when I saw the sale prices about 2 months after I bought mine but took consolation in the fact that there were no Medium frames to be found at that time and only Small and XSmall frames were availabe.

I agree with you. The price is lower for the small only…I have a medium, too! Good advice guys!!!

Thanks again all. Looks like to go with Seduza or Caliente the build is pretty set. Plus, and goofy I know, I like the light green lettering better on the frame.
