I remember reading a little while back that the new look for the Caliente\Seduza was going to be ready in late '06 or early '07. Anyone have any new information?
Can’t wait to see them!

I started the same thread a month or two ago. Word at that point was they’ll be in stores around January. Not long now!!!

Any changes on their geometries?
The entry lineup (Kilo and Tequilo) got steeper by 2 degrees and are now a 78,5 degrees if the seat mounted in the center of the rails.
Cervelo aims for 80 degrees or more for the 2008 line of TT bikes, is that right? Anyone ever heard about this?
Marcos.
I doubt that there will be much (if any) geometry change with the Seduza, Caliente, and the Lucero for a couple of years. Molds for carbon bikes are not cheap (about $60k frame?) and they probably don’t have enough seasons vested to allow them to buy new ones yet. I’m just guessing, but I could see them try out the new geometry on the Kilo/Tequilo for a couple of years, and if it is popular, move it towards their carbon offerings with the next generation of these bikes.
I also keep looking for the “new look” on those frames, but haven’t seen anything yet. It sure would be a nice holiday offering to throw the ST crowd a bone and a few photos ![]()
Actually, the price for a mold is even more… $60k per mold is probably correct, but you basically have to take that times the number of sizes, so total investment to change something gets to be lots. I would guess that QR will keep the molds for the Caliente/Seduza for a while and only changes the graphics (or maybe the composite, but I can’t see why unless they are forced to by supply issues)
