QR Caliente or P2SL

I would just like to get opinions and experiences people have or had with those two bikes. My lovely Fiance is asking me which one I would like in a size 54 or 55. I have heard of a high speed wobble on the P2K. I don’t know how many people have had that experience on it. Of course Cervelo is the top thing right now also. I’ve ridden both bikes and I liked both of them. A 15 mile ride doesn’t tell much though.

If you don’t mind sharing experiences with either bike I’d appreciate it. If there are other bikes in the same price range that people are pleased with, please share some info. Thanks.

I liked the way both of them rode. I would be happy with either one. I really wanted to hear other people’s experiences, good or bad.

Which shop is going to give you better service?

The bikes are different but I am a QR dealer so I will refrain from bashing the sacred cow of slowtwitch.

Actually, I meant, which one looks better to you?
Do you prefer black? Or blue/white with flames?

It would be the same shop.

paint is paint. I do dig the QR paint job, but I like the simple black also. Color, as long as it’s not too off the wall is not a big deciding factor. I finally want a lighter tri bike. My Martec is one heavy sled, but it is a fun ride.

Never experienced that on my P2K but did a few times on my Giant TCR. But I always decended faster on the drops on the TCR than I dared go on the aero bars on the P2K.

I have a Caliente that I am pleased with. I can’t offer a comparison though. Just that I have had no problems with my Caliente and it was been a lot of fun to ride.

I suggest getting the one that fits best and the one you like. I don’t think you will make a wrong choice with either bike.

I have a P2 SL, only had it a couple of weeks but am really pleased with it. Have descended on it at 50mph and havent had any high speed wobbles.

Yes. The heavy sled. looks liek the BP Stealth…or vice versa. I just had it repainted and I’m gonna try to post pics of it.

I have an 03 OCR2. Love that bike. Did some upgrades to it. I jsut wanna make sure the bike descends well also. I heard of some people having problems with it at Placid last year.

How is it with maintenance? Isn’t it internal cable routing?

Copy the url address.
Switch to advanced editor.
Then click on the little flower/picture box icon.
Clear out the automaitcally inserted http://, then paste inside the text box.
