This will be a huge week for the market. Not only will we get 4Q08 GDP but we will get a host of earning reports across industries and Fed minutes. We should test the November 20th lows this week. However, if the market is able to regain 8000 then you will have established a bottom. Consensus GDP is -5.2%, which is pretty close to the whisper numbers I have been hearing from regional Fed members. Should be interesting.
I agree - looks like plenty of bad news coming this week - may reveal support level - may not.
