Putting PC's on a fixie?

I’m looking for a second bike to become a dedicated PC bike and I came across a cheap fixed gear bike on ebay. Assuming I can put an octalink BB into a late 80’s Trek (checking on that) I think this might be an interesting way to spend some time on the trainer and in some group rides…

Thoughts?

it will not BE a fixie. it will be a singlespeed with the freewheel located in the roller clutch of the powercranks.
