Put Kerry's money where your mouth is

3rd richest of all time according to Forbes. http://www.forbes.com/business/2004/02/13/cx_da_0213kerry.html

Look at the top ten-Geez those Dems hate money.

And whose back did the profits fall upon, their smoke stacks of industry of course are pure.

.

And this means what?

Washington, Kerry and Johnson’s wives brought the money to the marriage. No one even knows if Kerry will get a nickel of his wife’s money. Kennedy’s money was in a trust set up by papa Joe.

It’s just funny that the Democrats attack the rich when low and behold they are rich themselves.

You have that kind of wrong. The democrats don’t attack the rich they just don’t pander to them quite as much as the republicans :stuck_out_tongue:

da Bum

Just because Kerry has 5 mansions throughout the US, has a multi-million dollar private jet, expensive yacht, lived in France with his uncle growing up (yes Kerry is French not Irish, so what?) and a custom made bike doesn’t mean that he will not make a good President. He has a plan to get us out of the war and repeal the Bush tax cuts.

You know, I think this whole story about outing Wilson’s wife is incredibly compelling and potentially very, very dangerous. Why it is not getting more press and more people are not fascinated by it I don’t know. Intentionally compromising intelligence agents in the field is a very serious crime, one which should draw the outrage of most Americans. The mere possibility that such a thing would be done for political purposes is absolutely disgusting.

I hope the administration and their lackeys had nothing to do with it, but I wouldn’t put it past them. I just hope whomever leaked this information is found and dealt with appropriately. I’m not talking about someone losing a job, but being jailed for the remainder of their time on this planet.

Isn’t revealing the identity of a CIA agent in that way considered treason? Where’s Brian286 when you need him?

THat was pretty funny…

RE: He has a plan to get us out of the war"

And that is?

Kerry would get other countries involved through the UN. Germany, France and Russia all have a lot of experience in dealing with Iraq. They helped financially through high interest loans and developed the Food for Oil program. Germany and France both had many workers there prior to the war building buildings and tech related suport. I think with Kerry’s French background, he speaks fluent French, he will be able to have the French help so we can bring our soliders home.

RE:
“and repeal the Bush tax cuts.”

And that is good why?

The tax cuts are not producing the jobs that our country needs. Robert Reisch today on CNBC said “Our country needs jobs for the middle and lower social economic people not more jobs in big business with high salaries.” His illustration was the Clinton years job grow in the Walmart type jobs.

If it’s such a non-story, why is there a special prosecutor? Why is Bush consulting with attorneys regarding a potential subpoena. With a Republican Congress and Republican President, if this was a non-story, don’t you think it would have gone away by now? The only person who actually believes that is Rush Limbaugh, between hits of Oxycontin.

The fact is that Wilson was an experienced diplomat, the last Western diplomat in Iraq before the first Gulf War. This wasn’t a vacation. He’d been a diplomat in west Africa as well and knew the players. He also voted Republican in the last election and was a personal friend of GHWB.

The notion that his wife was a NOC (the highest level of secrecy - if your cover is blown the CIA disowns you and you are executed) was certainly not common knowledge. The sheer notion of that is beyond ridiculous - just lunacy. If its not a secret, why don’t we have lists of agents on the Internet? Why do we even have a CIA? Listen to yourself sometimes. If you have such documentary evidence, let’s see it, because I don’t think anybody else knew. She recommended him because he had experience in the area and because her specialty was weapons distribution.

I don’t know where you get your information, but you might want to take a step back.

You know, I actually thought of the same thing bout thought I ought to sidestep the whole issue. Bad juju…

“Her name was listed on open CIA sites and she was interviewed about her job several years ago.”

If this is true than I guess I would probably change my opinion a bit. Any chance you could include references to the info/interview?

I will add that thousands of people work for the CIA and are known to work for the CIA. That’s no big deal. The thing is that in many cases it is not known in what capacity they work for the CIA. Revealing that is often what’s dangerous and damning.

The tax cuts are not producing the jobs that our country needs. Robert Reisch today on CNBC said “Our country needs jobs for the middle and lower social economic people not more jobs in big business with high salaries.” His illustration was the Clinton years job grow in the Walmart type jobs.

From Yahoo today: "The U.S. economy created 248,000 non-farm payroll jobs in May, the Labor Department estimated Friday. The unemployment rate remained at 5.6 percent while the participation rate remained at 65.9 percent. Economists were expecting payroll growth of about 220,000.

Payroll growth in April and March was revised higher by a total of 74,000 jobs. Over the past three months, 75.4 percent of 278 industries have added workers. The average workweek stayed at 33.8 hours for the fifth month in a row in May. Total hours worked in the economy increased by 0.3 percent. Average hourly pay rose 5 cents or 0.3 percent. Wages are up 2.2 percent in the past year. "

It also stated we have basically wiped out the losses since '01.

Tax cuts worked for Kennedy (democrat), they worked for Reagan, and they are working for Bush. Either way, it means more of MY money in MY pocket, and not the govt’s. And for the record, RR is a moron, don’t care how many degrees or titles he has.

Actually I thought I saw it at the bookstore the other day - “The Idiot’s Guide to High-Level CIA Operatives” , written by Robert Novak, with a foreword from Karl Rove and Scooter Libby (Chief of Staff to Dick Cheney).

Thank God Al-Qaeda can’t read.

Wow! With these new jobs, there are 131.9 million nonfarm jobs in the US! All we need is another 1.4 million jobs to be created to match the employment level of 133.3 million recorded in December, 2000, and for Bush not to be the first President since Hoover (Great Depression) to see a net job loss during his term. http://bls.gov/webapps/legacy/cesbtab1.htm (select total nonfarm data).

Not to mention that an additional 150,000 jobs per MONTH are needed just to keep up with population growth.

Bush’s record on job creation is just atrocious. The first table below shows the difference between the projected job growth from the 2003 tax cuts, and REALITY http://www.jobwatch.org/ :

http://www.jobwatch.org/ima/20040604_1differenceactproj650.gif

**Greatest sustained job loss since the Great Depression **
Since the recession began 38 months ago in March 2001, 1.3 million jobs have disappeared, representing a 1.0% contraction. The Bureau of Labor Statistics began collecting monthly jobs data in 1939 (at the end of the Great Depression). In every previous episode of recession and job decline since 1939, the number of jobs had fully recovered to above the pre-recession peak within 31 months of the start of the recession. Today’s labor market would have 5.3 million more jobs if employment had grown by the same 3.0% average gain for the last three recession cycles. The picture is worse for private-sector jobs, which have dropped by 1.9 million since March 2001, representing a 1.7% contraction. Nice deferral. Given that the whole government is run by Republicans, and the all Congressional Committees are chaired by Republicans, this wouldn’t be happening if you didn’t have some significant Republican concern, not to mention a “there” there.

This wouldn’t be happening if there wasn’t political pressure, and given the above, who is going to be applying such pressure?
