Pumpkinman Sprint and Half Roll Call

Count down’s on 5 days till the Festival begins here in Maine…
Here are some of the ST’s I know are coming:
TriGirl Pink
Tony Delogne
Trukweaz
Janda R-M
Jesse K.
Tim and Cait Snow
I know there are more of you…

Holy crap! I thought I was signing up for a quaint little race in rustic Maine and you have all these big guns showing up…I’m in for the half,
I just hope those guys leave some whoopie pies for when I finish…

Whoopie pies only at the Sprint! :frowning: but wait till you see the HALF spread!! YUMMY!!

Are you kidding me? Is it too late to change races? And where is current course record holder and Maine’s hardest working pro triathlete on the list of entrants?

It’s going to be a great race! Wish I could be there. Good luck with everything, giddy-up-n-go. Make sure you post a thread to let us know how it all went down.

Thanks Dawn - you should see what my garage looks like - LOL! One of the AID Station Bike Captains was just over to get his STUFF - its almost comical!
The race shirts and Half Ironman back packs came out amazing!! We even have orange COWbells with the Pumpkiman Guy and Orange water bottles with green tops!!

Forgot…we are keeping the HALF registration open only till midnight Monday…if you’ve recovered from Timberman should join us!!

Mike had to bow out…I hope he will post…BUT he will be back in 2009!!
The bike is 3miles shorter this year because of a bottleneck we had for the later wave athletes - I think you will love the change…you get to ride over a very quintessential New England Bridge through a very quiet rural farm section.

Mike had surgery Thursday on his achilles to fix a LONG chronic issue he has had.

wait till 2009 when he can actually run train!!

Kurt

The sprint athlete list is now posted on the FORUM at www.pumpkinmantriathlon.com
I will post the Half athlete list by Thursday.

I’m in for the whoopie pies…

I am in for the half, I am going to let it all hang out for the climb to T1, the way my training has gone it maybe my best discipline of the day!!

I’m in for the sprint.

Gotta work next weekend, otherwise I’d be there. Sounds like a ton of fun.

Thanks for posting next year’s date on the website, though. I’m pencilling it in. Might drag Prefer golf (ST lurker and very occasional poster) to the sprint, if he’s forgiven me for the way I badgered him to the finish of his first race last Sunday.

Hey Missy!

Do you have blood shot eyes yet??

No woopie pies for us 1/2 iron sufferers?? Just kidding…
BUT… if Maryann made them (from Eliot) she is THE MOST AWESOME BAKER! She made my weddin’ cake!

No rain this weekend, ok?

Sadly I will not be racing this weekend. I tried to push back surgery to race Pumpkinman but was convinced by others not to push my luck and rupturing my achilles. This is a great race and great venue. If you are at all considering it I would highly recommend it!

I will definitely be there next year.

Mike Caiazzo

TGP - whoopie pies are done by a woman who caters all my parties - they are yummy! Maryanne’s are so amazing, its my little treat when I have 3 hour plus rides in the winter. You will love the event. I hope you are coming up Saturday to pre-reg, but if not make sure we actually connect (LOL) on Sunday!! See you soon…rain rain go away come again another day!!

Mike - Hope you are on the mend!! We will miss you so much - what an amazing men’s field both days!! On Saturday with a field of 450 athletes our pro/elite category has 19 registered! The men alone: Dean P., Tony Delonge, Janda, Nick D., Donny Mills, Kurt, Aaron Coleman, Steven Wright, Greg Crist - jeez!!! And then Sunday, Tim and Cait Snow, Jesse, Ray B., and Jolene Wilkinson to name a few.
It will be quiet a weekend and you will be so missed!! I even hear Kurt is giving foot massages on Saturday nite at my house???
Hope to chat with you soon - I actually have a present for you - nothing big, I will send home with Kurt.
Kat

I’ll be up Friday night. Bringing goooooood weather. No worries. Kurt, my left foot… it still has a bit of PF lingering. Where do I sign up for foot massage?
