Hey y’all! So I am a college student, and my university triathlon club was looking at taking a trip this spring break to Puerto Rico for the half-Iron they have in March-- does anyone have any idea when that race might close, so we have an idea of when we need to sign up by? Any other info on the course, accommodations, or other advice would also be greatly appreciated! This will be the first half-Iron distance most of the club has ever attempted, so I’m really hoping we get to do it! Thanks in advance!
Love the race, did it in 2013. I don’t think it sold out that year. Awesome no wetsuit swim, 1/4 mile transition run, nice bike with some undulations, rained a bit, headwind on th way back. Run was hilly and very hot. Be prepared…train on a treadmill on incline with a portable heater in front of you…
got cheap package flights and hotel on expedia right by race site…worth checking out…
