PT - computer stats vs downloaded stats

any idea why the avg speed in my PT Pro computer says xx mph, but when I download it, the software shows yy mph?

The computer shows 21mph. the software shows 23mph. The “Official” race results indicate 23.5 mph, but I think the course is a tad short, so 23mph is probably right.

It has to do with including coasting in your output. The higher number does not include the zeroes, but the download does. No way to affect the download, so I simply had it include zeroes.

I’ve noticed to that it includes any time your wheel is rolling. I.e., if your pushing your bike into transition. I haven’t paid all that much attention to tweazing out this but I think mine may include some idle time as well like when the hub and computer shut down. Like when you stop to refill bottles and such on long rides. I think! Like I said I haven’t worried tooo much about it. I’m usually most intrested in trying to meet my interval goals. Do a search on here. I think someone posted a fix for this.

interesting. I can see why you would do that for avg watts, but not avg speed.
