and then on sunday I’m going to try to finish my first
STAY TUNED
.
I would consider it a great achievement to run 1200 meters at his marathon pace, maybe even a 2:20 800m. There’s no mention of a rabbit in the article, but how many people can lead him through a 61:30 half marathon anyway? I assume he’s comfortably at 80-85% max heart rate just clipping off 4:40 miles. Amazing.
are you running the marathon this sunday in AZ??

Nope, Houston

Its incredible. I can do 400 at his pace
Haven’t tried 800 yet. I think 800 would be my limit though.

800m is more realistic for me too, although I beleive I can bench press more than he can.
I could have benched more than him a few months ago.
But I stopped doing anything with my upper body in the month preceding the marathon, in hopes of saving 5lbs of weight, lol

go here:
a lot of guys that can run under 61:30.
Geb has run a 3:52 mile so yeah…4:40 pace is pretty comfortable for him. an amazing athlete…i hope he does it.
Does anyone know if the dubai marathon will be televisied, or on the internet somehow?
Best of luck Jack.
Good luck with your marathon. When he set his last WR there was thread on ST about his pace. Just about evryone (I exaggerate a bit) on ST could run a mile or two at his pace ![]()
Styrrell
Ha! I might be able to run a half mile in the time it takes him to run a mile.
To the OP: Good luck this weekend!
I wouldn’t trust that list. I know firsthand that Lance ran a 57:12 half marathon.
According to Universal Sports, they’re going to be covering it (not sure to what extent).
I had a laugh when I saw this thread as I remember last yr a buddy of mine was sending me updates from Europe where he was following it LIVE & I was posting it here. We were having some fun following it through the middle of the night in '08:
Should be a good time again for us running geeks!
