I had a pair of Lake that was given to me back in the 90s that I wore for 10 years!

Great deal indeed. LOVE the Hammerhead design as I’ve had the strap on my LG shoes pull out when trying to get strapped in- cost me a LOT of time.

How do these fit size wise compared to Shimano Shoes? Would you order the same size?

I wear the same size in shimano vs lake. FYI I currently have two pairs of Lake’s and love them. Wish I would have seen this deal prior to buying the second pair.

FYI, in case anyone gets excited by the "sale ends on " statement, that’s BS. it’s said that since october and they just keep changing the date.

that said, i didn’t have any problems dealing with the company. ended up returning the shoes because they didn’t fit, though. they say you have 30 days to return for a full refund and after that you get a store credit. if you’re returning, don’t put them in the mail after 29 days, because you’ll just get a store credit. they actually need to have the stuff back within 30 days for the refund.

edit: for sizing, yeah, i think they’re about the same as shimano. i ordered 44 at first; too big. exchanged for 43.5. still a little too big, but close. returned and gave up (not sure why). i now have size 43 shimano and they’re perfect, and i bet the 43 lakes would have fit well too.

I find shimano shoes to be pretty narrow, how do these lake shoes compare? Looks like a great price though.

lakes are definitely wider (esp. in the toe box) than shimanos. but as i said, i found that i fit in pretty much the same size in both brands…i.e. 43 shimano and 43 lake fit differently but both would probably work for me.

YMMV.

damn, i ordered a pair at 40’ish and now they are down to 29.98.
At this rate, by September, they will be a dollar!

Holy crap a a colnago hard tail mtb for $650-$800 (MSRP $4k)! Size large only. Wish it would fit me =(
