PRs in the tri

I don’t know if it was already posted (I couldn’t find in the search), but I’m interested to know the PR of people around here in the olympic/sprint/IM tri and their best 5k/10k time, best 100/400/1500meters swimming and best 20/40k riding.

I have a 5k PR or 17’, 10k PR of 36.

best 1500m: 17’20"

These times were many moons ago, back when I was young, dumb and full of c—uh, you know what I mean.

I’d just be happy to get back under 10 hours at the IM distance for next year. Getting older reminds you of how foolishly you treated your body during training back when you were younger. I’ve certainly found that out these last few years ;-))

Tony

Whenever I post on this board or read this board, I feel very slow. I’m going over to tri-newbies so I can feel better about myself

Man you guys are fast.

We may be fast, but we’re stooopid, too. Especially in my case. Too much training and too much racing (I’ve done back-to-back Olys and 1/2 IMs in one weekend, and 2 IMs within a week of each other) and not enough recovery. Got myself badly injured (getting hit on the bike by a taxicab didn’t help ;-), and blew my adrenal glands to hell for a few years.

This time around, nothing but smart training and racing. And finishing healthy is my main motivation, now.
