My second grade son has his school pictures tomorrow. I asked what he wanted to wear for picture day and with out hesitation he said, “My Ironkids t-shirt”.
What I am most excited about is that he chooses and enjoys being outside and active. He wears his t-shirt with pride and tells his grand parents that he tried his hardest and says stuff to his sisters like “don’t ever give up”.
My son says very similar things. Sometimes I wish I could be like him and not care so much about seconds lost here and there. It’s refreshing to watch him and the other young ones just having fun and being active.

Any other proud moments out there?
Christ, why would WTC make some nonsense “Ironkids” shirt? They didn’t do the race? Cheapens the brand! /pink
Had one this afternoon at my daughter’s soccer practice where I help coach her team (U8). During breaks the head coach always takes out a bag of Skittles and the girls go nuts, and then he can’t understand why they are all hyped up and won’t listen the rest of the time. The bag of Skittles comes out today and my daughter asks me if she can have some of the Clif Bar that I have in my bag instead.
