What is with pros and DNF? I see Conrad Stolz and a few others DNF’d at Chicago today. I can only imagine a mechanical on the bike or frustration. I know they have the best equipment and the best techs so I am leaning towards frustration.
Stolz made it out onto the run. He was pretty far back though, so it may just not have been his day. It seems like with the pros if they’re having a bad day it may not be worth it for them to finish. No reason to ruin yourself when you’re way out of the money. I can’t really blame them. This is, after all, what they do for a living.
frustration, smart planning for the next race and pushing that thin line between fast and too fast a bit more than most;)
