Historical footnote to this - Enduro Sport was Cervelo’s first ever retail customer. Back when no one had a clue who Cervelo was, Enduro Sport owner, Dan Rishworth took a chance on an obscure new bike brand that had started up in his home-town of Toronto.

I can remember Gerard working the Cervelo tent on the front lawn at Endurosport at the Coldwater location in the early 2000’s. They had just made a special P3 painted in blue for Endurosport only.
They have come a long way!

Yeah. I remember those days when you’d walk in on a Saturday and Gerard would be hanging out there in his ripped jeans and ratty old sweater talking to anyone who’d listen about why they should try his bike. He’d talk to you all day if you had the time. Friendly guy who you could tell was just living his vision even then…
And look at them now.

The really amazing thing about Gerard and co-founder Phil White as well, is that through all of this, the start-up, the amazing growth, the Ironman wins, the big Pro-Tour wins and even the Tour de France wins, is that they have been so down-to-earth and easy going about it all. They love cycling, pure and simple.

I dropped by towards the end of the day and chatted to quite a few people who were just going out or just coming back from demo rides. Good fun!
