This is a first…I used the alcohol swab…I think that it must be due to the plastic armrests…
Any ideas?
this plagued me for about 2 years. They would stick and then eventually fall off. I tried several types of glue to glue the velcro piece to the plastic. I finally wised up and just poked some holes through the pad and zip tied it to the bracket. Works like a charm and I don’t even feel the zipties. I used 2 ties on each pad. Do this…you’ll thank me later.

Really…what a crappy design…never had the problem with my Vision bars…
I have never had a problem with anything made by profile. My pads always stick, my bolts never break or come lose. No major pro has ever had an issue with anything like this either… everything is solid as a rock and so easy to work on and adjust. I can see why they charge what they do for such high quality engineering. Perfect. Like I said it must be you because Profile has a reputation as rock-solid and flawless when it comes to things like this.
Seriously, have you tried shoe-goo? If you are really serious you could always use two-part epoxy.
Do you work for them or something?..yeah…must be me because the velcro won’t stick…right.
Perfect?..not by a long shot.
shoo goo and epoxy huh?..That is an example of High Quality Engineering?
Bladed, you missed the sarcastic tone of my post. I can’t tell you how many times people I know (myself included) have cursed the profile name.
Yep…missed it totally…my bad…I have been avoiding Profile products for years…except for their cages. …Then i spring for the carbon T2’s…the bars are fine, the pads are junk.
I need to lighten up…and get into the Christmas spirit…

Gorilla Glue.
yeah…what banana said. GorillaGlue makes everything you want stick…and even some things you don’t want stuck!
GREAT Tip!
I just bought some!
I would have thought the profile might have addressed this by now.
I have lost count of the number of folks who have arrived at races, with bikes on the towbar rack and pads or velcro likely some 50 miles back down the road (most likely within the first mile of home perhaps?).

yep, same with the metal armrests too…the sticker backing is complete shite…some good suggestions tho which i’ll have to try too
I just used the closest glue available, continental tubular cement. Seems to work so far.
